As Emma set the table for breakfast, she felt a flutter of excitement. The new coffee mug, a playful gift she had found online, was the centerpiece of her plan.

The mug, pristine white with bold red letters, read, "I Love a Smart Man."

She placed it carefully at her usual spot and set her partner, Jack's, mug next to it.

Jack entered the kitchen, his hair tousled from sleep. He kissed Emma on the cheek and sat down, reaching for his coffee. As he lifted his own mug, he glanced at Emma's and paused. A smile slowly spread across his face, his eyes twinkling with amusement and pride.

"Well, that's a nice way to start the day," he said, his voice warm. "Feeling particularly proud of my intellect today, are we?"
